Description
Vorwerk Roller Brush For Kobold VK200 Vacuum Cleaner, Genuine
Original Vorwerk product for EB400 powerhead used by Vorwerk Kobold VK200
When the roller brush on your Vorwerk VK200 (EB400 head) becomes worn, several cleaning and performance problems can appear:
The roller brush’s main job is to agitate carpet fibers and lift dirt, dust, and hair so the suction can pick them up. When the bristles wear down (typically below ~5 mm in height), they no longer reach deep into the carpet pile. As a result the vacuum seems to “glide” over surfaces but doesn’t actually pick up much dirt.
Worn or uneven brushes may cause the roller to vibrate, making the head noisy and possibly damaging internal gears or mounts over time.
Indicators You Should Replace It
| Symptom | Likely Cause | Action |
|---|---|---|
| Bristles shorter than 5 mm | Normal wear | Replace roller |
| Hair/fibers frequently wrap around it | Brush not sharp enough to self-clean | Replace roller and clean regularly |
| Loss of pickup on carpet | Bristles can’t agitate dirt | Replace roller |
| Head feels heavy or drags | Bearing or roller friction | Check/replace roller |
| Motor sounds louder | Increased load on drive | Replace roller |
