I have a first generation Dyson Stick DC35 - never had any issue with it, works like a dream! I broke the connection on my cannister and rang Dyson who told me they didn't hold those 'old' series items any longer and that I needed to upgrade at $1499.00!. Umph! I dont think so, I'll check out VacuumSpares and low and behold at $50 a replacement part. In fact I went on to replace most of the parts of the vacuum all at a cost of approx. $200. Bargain! Item arrived three days later after ordering - vacuum cleaner works like a charm. Thanks - great service!
